How it works
- Press play to animate the countries with the largest exports from 1960 to 2024. Bars resort every year with smooth animation.
- Drag the year slider to freeze any moment, or change how many countries are shown.
- The full data table ships with the page, so the ranking works even offline.
Good to know
- Values are exports of goods and services in current US dollars, not adjusted for inflation.
- Countries without a published figure for a year are left out of that year.
- Nothing is stored or sent anywhere.

Frequently asked questions
Where do the numbers come from?
Exports of goods and services in current US dollars from the World Bank indicator NE.EXP.GNFS.CD, built into the page for the years 1960 to 2024.
Does it include services?
Yes. The figure covers goods plus services such as transport, travel and finance, so it is larger than goods-only trade statistics.
Why are some countries missing in early years?
Countries without a published figure for a year are left out of that year, so early ranks cover only countries with data.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The full table ships with the page, so the race and the year slider work without a network.
